Jealous husband slays wife in Loving Carlsbad area
Angel Lares 22 killed his wife Maria Lares 22 in the home of her parents Jesus and Mrs Trujillo near Loving New Mexico in a fit of jealous rage. He slashed her severing the head area then tried to kill himself but was stopped by Maria’s mother. He surrendered and was jailed in Eddy county. A coroner's jury charged him with the crime and authorities said charges will be filed. Maria’s two children under two years old survive.
