Austin August 11 The senate member of the free conference committee refused to confer with the house committee on the eleemosynary appropriation bill. The house sent the bill back with a report that no conference will occur until the house committee can freely discuss the act. Because of differences between branches the house committee was told to stand pat on the Pope amendment unless allowed to remove it. The Governor may be forced to call a second session.
