Philadelphia AP reports paleontologists cite New Mexico finds as proof prehistoric people hunted mammoth musk ox and an extinct bison type. French fliers deem set new flight record in Syria

Rock slide blocks Belen Cutoff traffic near Abo Pass

A rock slide in the Abo Pass mountains west of Mountainaire New Mexico dumped about 100 tons of debris onto Santa Fe railroad tracks on the Belen Cutoff. Eastbound Train 22 was rerouted via Belen Kennedy and Willard to clear the line. Shovels were sent to the scene and officials warned of possible additional slides that could take hours to settle.
