Winds Fan Fire Kills Roswell Motorist
A Roswell man, George Hernandez Jr., 29, died when the car he drove struck another stalled by smoke from a windswept blaze at the Roswell Industrial Air Center. Four U.S. forest service trucks and multiple fire departments fought the four hour fire that destroyed most Maxwell House Movers buildings and ten acres of property.

Fire destroys home belongings and forces family to flee
Reading guide appliances and personal belongings were destroyed in the fire. Mrs Burns says they were told to watch for the blaze at about 3 30. She and her children Alice 11 Willie 9 and Coy 4 are staying with her in laws at 1419 S Mulberry Ave. She is pregnant and due soon. Firefighters were called to Longhorn Manufacturing Co on RIAC Friday but officials say Monday's fire was not related. Longhorn manager Don Robinson said inspectors found the last blaze out and the Monday fire burned the ground up to the building but caused no other damage.
