Washington April 24 Federal price administrator Leon Henderson said the government would not immediately set a ceiling on copper or brass ingot prices. He suggested gradual reductions to 12 cents a pound for primary and secondary copper. He noted most of industry held to 12 cents while a minor section sold at outside prices up to 13½ cents, a disparity he called unwarranted. Outside copper, scrap, and ingot prices moved together, causing ingot prices to exceed reasonable levels.
