Thomas C. Lea aged 71 and eldest brother of the late Capt. J. C. Lea died yesterday at his son Cal Lea’s home in Independence Missouri from dropsy and kidney trouble. Funeral will be in Independence. Dogs to be fed strychnine as defense case details emerge
Some canines will receive one fifteenth of a grain of strychnine while others get smaller amounts. Some dogs will be allowed to die from the poison and others will be killed. The digestive organs of the animals will be used by the defense in presenting its case to the jury.

Four boys aged ten to sixteen were caught stealing eighteen pigeons from A. H. Rockefellow’s barn on North Missouri avenue. They pled guilty before Justice Welter, who imposed a peculiar punishment by releasing them on condition they report their case for publication at the Daily Record office. The lads gave full names, which will be withheld from print during good behavior.

Absent Bishops Attend Louisville Conference Events

Tug Della Missing Near Gulf After Galveston Tow
