City bonds sold to Nuveen at par amid bid rejection
Roswell city and Water Works Commission rejected all three bids for the 170000 dollar city bonds. After a half hour talk with M. F. King of John Nuveen & Co, the entire issue was sold to Nuveen at par for 5.5 percent interest from March 1 1908. Delivery of bonds to be delayed slightly to favor purchasers as city pays interest from March 1. A council resolution set a press message and next meeting for Monday night.
