Ultimate control of Howard Hughes fortune hangs in the balance as officials search for a still missing will. The billionaire's aunt and her son, an attorney, were named temporary administrators of Summa Corp. and the estate, valued at 1.5 to 2 billion dollars, while Summa admits the will has not been found.
Spokesmen for Summa and Hughes relatives say an effective will may exist and a search will continue. Houston authorities name Mrs. Lummis and her son temporary administrators of Hughes estate as taxes and debts require urgent attention. Summa Corp notes belief Hughes executed a will while Lebanon and Middle East tensions unfold with Syria moving troops near Israel’s border and political shifts in Lebanon and Rome.
Roswell psychologist Dr. Allen Young calls for an outside review after two counselors Garland Phillips and Clark Stanton resign amid board action.
