Navajos Plead Guilty to Second Degree Murder
Five Navajo Indians in Santa Fe pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the death of fellow tribesman Sam Mc Cabe, whose body was found mutilated near Gallup last May. Judges sentenced them to eight to 26 years in the state penitentiary, citing whiskey as the crime catalyst and criticizing Gallup's vice conditions.
