Blossoms In Hondo Valley Attract Tourists
The Hondo Valley bloom is at its peak as orchards display thousands of blossoms drawing yearly pilgrimages from area residents and visitors. Community life in Roswell honors late attorney George E. Ward, active Rotary member, while Rotary visits in Dexter highlight a Rural Urban Dinner and new buses from New Mexico Transportation Co. Carlsbad Caverns reports March visitor totals up 60 percent from last year, with 64 126 visitors in Jan-March 1967. A Roswell event notes a newborn colt concern, and a state Woman's Club convention in Rio do so draws Roswell attendees and contrasts in camera comfort between men and women.
