Conservation licences gain popularity among Manitoba anglers
Manitoba anglers show strong uptake of Conservation Licences costing five dollars, enabling reduced bag limits. Dave Fitzjohn notes 37 percent of licences sold so far are Conservation type and expect share to rise as awareness grows. Overall angling success fell about 20 percent due to low water levels and higher temperatures, with some anglers regretting not choosing the cheaper licence. The 8th Annual Terry Fox Run attracted 63 participants from Rossburn and Shoal Lake with 23 local residents traveling to Rossburn. Total funds raised reached $1,024.30 for cancer research, led by Kelly White and Chad Chegwin each at $65.00.
