Lena May Kosteski wife of Joseph Kosteski died Sept 12 at Hotel Dieu Hospital St. Catharines Ontario at 45. Rosary were recited at Carte Son Funeral Home. Requiem High Mass held Sept 15 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Interment Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Surviving: husband Joseph, three daughters Louise Shannon Pat Cindy, sons Eugene Johnny, one granddaughter, parents Mr and Mrs J Pradhnuk, sister Mrs H Drosdoski, brothers Pete Mathew. The Rossburn Hospital Auxiliary met at Mrs. G. Stewart’s home with vice president Mrs. J. Caldwell presiding. A board report and poem were read. proceeds from L Chopp’s Accordion Concert will fund a medicine table and a vaporizer. Delegates for the Manitoba Hospital Conference were nominated: Mrs. S Melnyk as delegate and Mrs. M Lawless as alternate. Registration Night for 1st Rossburn Scout Troop
The 1st Rossburn Scout Troop and Cub Pack held registration night at Rossburn School. Training starts next Wednesday 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Patrol Leaders Gordon Williamson Robert Stupinsky and Johnnie Ryshytylo leading assignments. The Cub Pack meets weekly 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the same school and the season opening is planned for Wednesday October 3rd.

Rossburn High School held an afternoon assembly on Friday the 14th to elect the Student Council. Officers include President Leslie Andrew and Vice presidents Nelson Luhowy and Richard, with Elizabeth Glushka as treasurer and Mel Kaban as Grade XII rep, among others. A Freshie Parade is planned for Wednesday October 3 with a parade start around 2 09.

Funeral Rites For Mrs. Wm Young Held At Rossburn
Funeral rites for Jes sie Levina Young aged 75 formerly of Rossburn and Angusville were held in Manitoba. A service occurred Sept 18 at Mor due Bros. Funeral Home followed by a Sept 19 service at Rossburn United Church with interment in the local cemetery. Pallbearers included Gordon Ferguson Goldie Forrest Eugene Caldwell Ronald Hamilton Bert Mitchell and Pat Heneghan. Mr Ferguson led the service with Wendel Cleland on organ. She was the wife of William Young and mother of six sons Allan Murray Keith Garth Gordon Willis and a daughter Wilda.
