The W. A. held a regular meeting at the United Church Annex on Tuesday September 13 with 21 present. Eleven new members were welcomed and plans include a fowl supper. Police Probe Death Of Reserve Resident
The unconscious body of Ruby Mentuck was found in a ditch near Angusville and she died at Russell Hospital. The coroner ordered autopsy and an inquest likely for September 28. RCMP and Brandon CIB investigated. two men held including the dead woman’s 17 year old common law husband and Jim Le doux. Mentuck, 22, lived at the Lizard Point Indian Reserve west of Rossburn.

Funeral Rites Held For Fire Victim Rossburn
Sam Stasynets 74 of Rossburn died after a farm blaze near Roguskey farm south of town. Funeral services were held September 20 at the Rossburn Ukrainian Catholic Church with Rev. E Olynek. Rae's Funeral Home led arrangements. Pallbearers named. Survived by his wife at Mitinedosa Nursing Home.

Mr Nick Boychuk of Winnipeg was killed while working on a street car on Monday. Relatives from Rossburn attended the funeral. A fishing note mentions Frank Butler and Bill Brown catching a jackfish in the Birdtail that had another fish, 12 inches long, in its mouth.
