Mr. and Mrs. Mike Mischan announce the engagement of their daughter Gwen to Julien Verbeke son of Mr and Mrs Ceaser Verbeke of Leroy Sask. The wedding is set for 2 pm Saturday October 10 1964 at St Theresa Roman Catholic Church Rossburn Manitoba.
The Bilawka family thanks friends and relatives for kindness, sympathy cards, flowers, and support after the loss of their mother. Gratitude also to Father Lehky Raginski Funeral Home pallbearers and honorary pallbearers for their comforting roles. May God bless you all.
Hospital Aid plans a meeting on Tuesday September 22 at 8:00 PM hosted by Mrs. Jean Lawless. Birdtail Women's Institute schedules a Bazaar on October 17 with the raffle previously sold tickets as part of the event.
Lorraine Andrew of Brandon spent the weekend with her parents Mr and Mrs J D Andrew. Several locals attended golf tournaments in Birtle. Peter Wladyka is out of hospital after finger removal. Eugene Caldwell underwent eye surgery. Wedding and travel notes include Hasiuk Bozohora nuptials in Winnipeg and others visiting relatives in Winnipeg Saskatoon and Oakburn. Best wishes to George and Mildred.
The writer expresses sincere gratitude to Dr Prus nurses and staff for kindness during a hospital stay at Shoal Lake Hospital. Appreciation is also given to visitors who brought gifts and flowers. Mentioned are Sophie Korny and W H Metcalf of Moose Jaw visiting relatives.
I extend thanks to Dr. Lynch nurses and hospital staff for fine care during my stay. Also appreciation to the Ukr Catholic Women's League Rossburn Lions Club Rossburn Legion Branch and all relatives and friends for fruit baskets cards and visits.
In loving memory of a dear mother and grandmother who died September 12 1962. Her daughters Pat and Cindy and son Jory, and Louise with son-in law Clayton and grandchildren Terry and Caiby, miss her daily. God knew she suffered and moved her to peaceful rest. We will meet again on the beautiful hills beyond.
