Oakburn school by law passes and tender bid tops
Oakburn Consolidated School District voters approved a 135000 money by law for a new school by 122 to 15. Har ry Komhyr of Rossburn submitted the lowest 120215 bid for construction with Duchene Construction Winnipeg and Sam Warner Construction Dauphin as other bidders. The project includes six classrooms an auditorium and is expected to start soon with about six months to complete. Architects Pratt and Lindgren have designed the project.

Inglis Wins Oakburn Fastball Tournament
A Fastball Tournament at Oakburn on Sunday drew about 500 fans from 15 teams. Inglis topped the field with Shoal Lake second and Hamiota third. Lennard Wildcats were fourth. Forrest earned the prize for the furthest distance. New ball diamonds drew favorable comments.
