Rossburn CGIT holds a United Church annex meeting with 15 members. Officers for the year include President Janice Johnston and Vice President Penny McKnight. Chevrons were awarded. a candy and popcorn sale is set for Saturday September 18 at 6 30. CGIT girls will join the United Church choir next week. Meetings happen Mondays at 7 15 p m.

Successful Bingo Night Aids Rossburn Hospital
Rossburn Hospital Aid held a Saturday bingo in the town hall raising 81 dollars for a portable electro cardiograph. Prize donors included Mrs. C Gunn and Mrs. J Layng. winners included Mrs Archie Fre and Mike Silewich.

Rossburn Council Addresses Timberwolf Issue and Local Projects
The Rural Municipality of Rossburn council, with full attendance, approved minutes and finances, appointed Frank Zegaliski as arbitrator, and discussed consolidating with Oakburn SD. They planned an appeal to Holy Family Home for one aged person, passed by laws on street lights and road building, and directed action on highway funding and a timberwolf hazard petition. They adjourned to meet October 4.

Rose Anne Tanasychuk and George Albert Clarke united in a wedding at the Orthodox church of St Elie in Rossburn with Rev Rybalka officiating. Farewell for Rev Cieply at Oakburn Farms Parish
