Parkland Regional Library Service resumes regular hours starting September 2 1975 with the Information Centre open 1 to 5 pm on five days weekly. Bookmobile returns to a three week schedule carrying 2 500 books and serving 21 Parkland locales. depots set hours locally.

The Wheat Board Advisory Committee met August 14 with 19 members and 4 commissioners present. Total grain deliveries for 1974 75 reached over 700 million bushels, down from 827 million the prior year, with exports at 567 million. System capacity could handle 400 million by December 31, while 225 million bushels moved in the last six weeks and barley sales rose notably. Russia bought utility grade wheat for the first time as world production forecasts declined.
Weather remains unsettled with daily showers and violent thunderstorms. Record rainfall this season totals 18.69 inches since April 1 as 36 thunderstorms drench Ressburn. two motions pass on pricing and open market grain quotas.
A new program announced by the Premier will be administered by the Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation. It targets low and moderate income homeowners in urban and rural areas, offering loans with partial forgiveness for essential repairs to improve safety and extend property life. Special honors include Manco and Neilson awards plus top sewing prize to Elva Cochrane Hamiota.
