Curling Club Prepares For Coming Season
Rossburn Curling Club met at the Curling Rink on Friday October 22 at 9 pm Discussed minutes and sharpening rocks and a 690 cent cheque to Free Press Prairie Farmer. Club accepts rent proposal of 240 for the season and advertises for rink caretaker tenders closing November 5. Fees stay at 10 total with 5 due at start and 5 by January 1 1954 Women may curl in the Men’s Club under bonspiel rules. Meeting adjourned.

Mrs. Jas. Frost Passes After Lengthy Illness
Mrs. Jas Frost of Rossburn died at Carman Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Funeral at Elm Creek United Church on Friday October 22. Rev. Conly of Carman officiated. pallbearers and flower bearers listed. Born in London March 15 1856, she came to Canada 1911, lived in Mocsomin and Winnipeg, married James Frost 1922, later moved to Rossburn. Survived by husband, three daughters Frances Armstrong Carman Dorothy Cox Justice Roberta Hodge Binscarth, sons Sidney and Douglas Elm Creek, daughter J Hutchison Toronto, three brothers Fred George Ernest Goddard Australia.
