Tenders called by Rossburn Curling Club secretary for caretaker of Ressburn Memorial Arena for 1954 55 season on monthly basis. Salary to be stated. duties begin with suitable flooding weather. Tenders due by 6 p.m. November 5 1954. Lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted. N Karmazenuk.
The wedding of Olga Skor obohach and Dr. A. Ferra took place at the Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Winnipeg with a reception in the Rose Room at the St. Charles Hotel. Attendees include Mr. and Mrs. N. Karmazensk and numerous local residents with a Remembrance Day note and community notices following.
The Ukrainian Catholic Fowl Supper at Rossburn Town Hall on October 27 drew at least 200 attendees. Harmony Kines provided music for the concluding dance as the committee thanks all supporters for making it a standout event.
A community fowl supper is planned for Friday November 5 at Memorial Hall Solsgirth under the auspices of Solsgirth W A and St James Guild. Supper begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $1 for adults and 35 cents for children under 12. A small programme will follow after supper.
A Bazaar and Dance to aid the Greek Orthodox Parish of Rossburn will be held at the Rossburn Town Halls on Monday November 8. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Mr and Mrs H Hawkes with Helen and Charles Hawkes from Rivers visited A MacPhail and D A MacDonald over the weekend enjoying local hospitality and social hours in the area.
Community notices list curling club signups by November 12 with a same day meeting. Beech A Credit Union School on November 10 at 9 30 a m in Rossburn Town Hall. Auction sale for Paul Yasonyk on November 11 with bills for details. Ukrainian Catholic Church bazaar and dance November 5 at Rossburn Town Hall with Pete Lamb Orchestra. tickets from June 4 will be drawn November 5.
