Two services planned for Sunday October 28 at 11.50 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. Kes and Mrs. Spencer will be the guest speakers. Rev Spence has spent years as a missionary in China and was held as a prisoner of war in Hong Kong. Pastor Rev A C Mack invites attendance.

Cushley unable to secure transport to sister’s illness.

Tag Day Aims to Send Christmas Parcels Overseas
A Tag Day is planned for Saturday October 27 to raise funds for Christmas parcels for boys overseas. Proceeds support gifting a Merry Christmas to servicemen away from home. H. H. Hannam, president of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture, urges farmers to plan ahead for national and farm benefit.

Rural council meeting approves pension and memorial plans
The Rossburn Rural Council met at the Municipal office on Saturday February 6th approving an old age pension for Joseph Donee. It also endorsed soliciting gifts for veterans and a canvas with Rossburn to raise funds for a Memorial Hospital. A further grant of 120 dollars was approved to assist Mrs Sarah Young for James McBride’s late share of profits. Tenders for a municipal caretaker were invited and the adjournment set for November 3rd with a court of revision at 2 pm.
