The late James McBride died on September 15 at Secret Heart Hospital Russell. Born in Cavin Ireland he came to Canada aged five and settled in Waterloo Ontario. He joined Bolton Boy Scouts in 1880 and served in the Reel Rebellion. He farmed at Ranchvale Manitoba before moving to Roseburn in 1929 where he resided. Funeral from United Church Thursday at 2 p.m. to Roseburn Cemetery interment. John won of Mrs W Halliday arrived from overseas on Saturday. Another son Adam is reportedly en route. Mr and Mrs W Miller plus friends visited Pr Knippen at Newdak. Anniversary Services planned at Vista United Church Sunday with Rev Murray of Shoal iate as guest speaker. Vista residents Mr and Mrs J McDonald and Mrs A McDonald of Kelloe visited Mr and Mrs JL Hamilton. Miss Vera Hamilton, recently staying with her parents, sails for Quean Falls BC en route to Portage la Prairie to meet Mrs O'Donnell and Mr S Hamilton in Winnipeg. Mother accompanies her part of the way.
