Residual nitrogen cuts fertilizer costs in Manitoba fields
Manitoba farmers facing drought may reduce 1985 fertilizer use due to high residual nitrogen. Angusville Access Road Declared Provincial Road
The Angusville access road between PTH 45 and PR 476 in the RM of Silver Creek is now a provincial road. Premier Howard Pawley and Minister John Plohman announced the 1.1 kilometre addition, with $3 000 yearly for maintenance and funds set aside for a survey and design study. The move fulfills years of RM requests and will upgrade the road to provincial standards.

RCMP report shows muted activity at Rossburn Detachment
RCMP Rossburn Detachment logged 92 new September cases including a fatal pedestrian vehicle crash under investigation with charges pending, an injury crash, 11 thefts, one wilful damage, one liquor to minors charge, and a child abuse case. Two trials yielded guilty verdicts with jail and probation, plus transfer of Cst Line Viau from Regina. Hunters are reminded to obtain landowner permission before hunting.
