Rossburn Rural Council October Meeting
The Rossburn Rural Municipality council met on October 8 1963 in the council chambers with Reeve Alex Cleland and councillors Morley Brown William Hyra Mike Pawluk and Fred Posmituck present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Proceedings include approving the September 30 1963 financial report and authorizing a $756 road diversion purchase from Nick Maryniuk for a grant road built by the Indian Affairs and Public Works departments. The council also approved a sewage lagoon drainage channel license through Birdtail Creek, passed By-Law No 875 dissolving Birdtail School District 1263 and transferring lands to Rossburn Consolidated District 2358, and applied for a 50 50 grant up to $2000 for snow removal on designated main roads and routes for 1963-64 with maps showing locations. Rossburn triumphs in second game as Inglis falls 19–20
In a tight second game Rossburn edged Inglis 20 to 19. Johnny Rushytyle scored three touchdowns, Wayne Carson added a conversion, and Warren Brown kicked a single. The Rossburn girls volleyball team lost to Elphinstone in a separate match. Continued on Page 8.

Former District Girl Appointed To Liquor Licensing Board
Uberta Blackburn, daughter of Elizabeth Ross and the late R. R. Ross, was named to the Liquor Licensing Board, succeeding E. L. Rossenholt who served seven years. Blackburn, former Peifkoff Clinic office manager, joins the newly formed Ladies Auxiliary of Tache Hospital, is a Knox United Church member, past president of Fort Garry Curling Club, and ran as Conservative candidate for Logan in the last provincial election. Relatives and friends in Rossburn and Angusville extend congratulations.
