United Church Women Meet and Plan Bazaar
The regular U C W met at Mrs C Brown's home with seven members present. Isabel Miller led devotions on Thanksgiving and committees were named for the Fall Bazaar set for November 13 in the church annex. The group will bring Christmas allocations for Indian Missions to the November meeting. Local Hotel Addition Nears Three-Week Milestone
The Rossburn Hotel extension to add a mixed beverage room facilities has been underway for three weeks. The project adds 1600 square feet of space and was designed by Grossmann Ltd of Winnipeg. Exterior work is by Seine Construction of Winnipeg. Plumbing by Rossburn Plumbing & Heating and electrical work by Spannick.

Lions Club Tree Planting at Centennial Park
Motorists travelling to Ross from the south notice improved sightlines at Centennial Park just north of the Manitoba Water Supply Board pumping station. A neat row of young ever greens was planted along the east side by a Lions Club work party on Monday Oct. 11.

The Vista Women's Institute began its autumn activities with a regular meeting and a decision to collect used clothing for shipment to needy countries overseas.
