Rossburn Village Council Sets 1968 Meetings and Grants
The Rossburn Village Council met October 15 in the council chambers with Mayor J W Cormack and five councillors present. They adopted the September 30 financial report, approved a $10 Children’s Aid Society grant, donated the hall for A C T Amateur Night, placed a propane tank by the Rossburn Curling Club on railway property, approved a building permit for William Pomehichuk after inspection, authorized $40 each for attending the Manitoba Urban Association convention, and advertised for a skating rink caretaker for 1968 69. The meeting adjourned to November 19 at 8 PM.

The Rossburn U C W met in the annex with 14 members present. Devotional theme Gratitude and Thanksgiving led by several members. Minutes and treasurer's report approved. A bake sale at the Rummage Sale on Oct 19 at 10 a.m. planned. A letter of thanks for adopting a boy in Hong Kong read and $60 sent. A large garbage can to be bought for the manse.

The Rossburn and District Recreation Commission invites villagers to complete a survey on winter recreation desires. Since 1966 the group has funded local clubs with 1700 dollars from the provincial Recreation Branch and aims to serve all age groups.
