Farmers in Rossburn await hydro service as crews erect over 125 miles of wire and 1300 poles. 106 new customers will gain service including 26 farmers. Polling was initially supervised by Joe Lepinski, later by Bruce Nicol. Area covers townships 19 23 24 25.
Howard Alexander a local CN R drayman faces a legal muskrat problem in his basement. The animal has eaten carrots and swims in a tub. He fears fines for out of season trapping and worries about dogs or jail. He seeks lawful disposal ideas or a way to profit from the creature.
William Jasper Strong died Tuesday evening at St Boni face Hospital. Funeral Friday from Rossburn United Church with interment in Rossburn Cemetery.
Norman Major and a dozen others faced fines for lacking radio licenses. He won a ten dollar prize with a witty report noting the magistrate himself admitted guilt and fined everyone, including himself, leaving him with enough to pay his own fine.

A three-cornered race for Reeve with Gordon Taylor and Ukrainetz. Ward 1 selects W. J. Hamilton by acclamation. Ward 3 contestants are Mike Borowski Nick Chopp and Sam Trakalo. Rossburn School Board fills three seats with Mrs Howard McIntosh M F Smyeniuk and A E Varmey elected by acclamation.
Helen Parobec daughter of Mr and Mrs Alex Parobec and Paul Sydorick elder son of Mr and Mrs John Sydorick married at the Greek Catholic Church in Angusville October 4. Rev Father Lewkin officiated. The bride wore white satin with lace and pearls. veil embroidered with satin flowers. Attendants included Lillian Parobec Olga Mazur Mildred Rubeniuk and flower girls Mildred Parabec Marion Kalyniuk. Groom's attendants were Peter Pushka Matt Bilanka Bill Syderick. Out of town guests Mr and Mrs Mike Antonin joined. Reception and dinner followed at the groom's home with generous gifts. couple to honeymoon in Toronto and spend winter in the east.
The North Western Manitoba Teachers Association held its 53rd convention in Rossburn October 4 and 5 with welcomes from Mayor Earl Moffat and others. Delegates discussed Reading Surveys, Hot Lunches and School Adjustments and urged the Department of Education to expand senior high to years 10 11 and 12 and to improve teacher training model schools. A banquet followed and Hon. W. C. Miller spoke on widening educational scope while officers were elected: C. D. Voigt president, J. E. Murphy president, Mrs Williamson vice president, J. McLennan secretary treasurer.
