Anniversary Dinner Honors Dmytro Wowk 54 Years
Mr and Mrs Dmytro Wowk celebrated their 54th anniversary with a family dinner at the home of Mr and Mrs Maurice Drul. They wed February 10 1910 at a Greek Orthodox Church in the Rossburn district. The event drew five children 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Passing of Pioneer Resident Mrs Ann Stiff at 97
Ann Sterling Stitt aged 97 longtime Rossburn area resident died at Winnipeg General Hospital on September 19. Born in Ireland she moved to Canada at 16 and married Joseph J Stitt. Survived by five sons and three daughters, 23 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. Funeral held September 22 at Rossburn United Church with interment in Rossburn Cemetery.

Nellie Bilawka died Aug 24 at Shoal Lake Hospital aged 61 born Dec 25 1902. She married Wasyl Bilawka in 1920 and lived on a farm near Birdtail until death. Funeral service held Monday at Westminister United Church for 85 year old Joseph Crowther who died in Hamiota Hospital. He immigrated to Manitoba in 1898 from Blackburn England and worked in Kelloe, carpentry for elevator gangs, farming, and later at Rivers Airport and Transcona Cordite Plant. Survived by three daughters and one son, two grandchildren. Interment Shoal Lake Cemetery. Pallbearers named.
