Nettie Mushumanski and Lionel Barrie exchanged marriage vows at Angusville United Church on September 19 1959 at 2 30 pm in a double ring ceremony officiated by Rev J M Miller. The bride wore a floor length French lace gown with a nylon veil and carried a round bouquet. Miss Anne Mushumanski was maid of honor with bridesmaids and flower girls in aqua dresses. After dinner at the bride's home, Art Woitte toasted the couple. a Ukrainian People's Hall dance followed. The newlyweds left for a trip to Ontario and the USA and will reside in Neepawa.

Prizes honored long‑time grandmothers, those with September birthdays, and the farthest traveler. a lunch followed. A clothing drive and upcoming Fowl Supper were noted.

In spite of rain and bad roads over sixty friends gathered at the Vista community hall to honor Miss Reita Stitt, bride elect of Oct. 3. The hall featured pink hearts and wedding bells as Viola Kerr and Jean Armstrong greeted Reita. Jean pinned on a corsage, and Reita, with her grandmothers nearby, heard addresses and received gifts. After thanks, guests were invited to see her in her new home and a tea service followed by lunch.

The group voted to continue meetings at members' homes, planned the annual Tea and Shower for October 17 at the Legion Hall convened by Mrs. G. Passing of A S Hamilton at Princeton B C
Alexander Stewart Hamilton known as Ed died Thursday August 27 after a period of ill health. Funeral services were well attended in Princeton with his widow, four children, two sisters, one brother and several relatives surviving. Many friends from distant towns attended and extended sympathy was offered to Mrs Hamilton and family.

School elects student council for coming year
On September 18 the student body assembled in the auditorium to elect the student council. Officers elected include Sylvia Baubie President Keith Elvers 1st Vice President Mary Twerdochlich 2nd Vice President Jean Andrew Secretary Treasurer plus room representatives by grade. The following week Mary Twerdochlich was appointed reporter.

Funeral Rites Held For William Moulson In Colonsay District
William James Alexander Moulson 75 of Colonsay north of Birtle died suddenly at his farm on Sept 15 while driving a grain truck. He was born May 15 1885 in England and emigrated to Canada at eight. Survived by wife Katherine and five children plus siblings and in laws. Funeral Sept 18 at St James Anglican Church with Rev J M Buck officiating.

Special Livestock Train Proposed by Canadian National Railways
The Canadian National Railways proposes a weekly livestock train from Russell to Winnipeg starting October 5. It will load Mondays at 3 p.m. from Russell, stop between Russell and Erickson, and reach Winnipeg shortly after midnight for early-morning cattle hogs or sheep unloading at St Boniface. Rates include 58 cents per cwt for Russell and Angusville to Winnipeg, with three minimum weights from additional points. Local agents must be contacted before September 29 noon to arrange cars.
