The Rossburn Hospital Auxiliary met at Sylvia Samuels home with 15 members present. Linda McFadyen opened the meeting and minutes were read and adopted. Jean Cleland presented the treasurer's report and Vi McKietiuk gave the board report. The November gathering is set for November 28 in the Board Room. Joyce Brown donated a hostess prize, won by Rose Stefanuk. Marie Slon adjourned the meeting with the Migpah Benediction.

Rossburn RC Volleyball Teams Sweep to Division Titles Again
Rossburn girls and boys volleyball squads clinched their fourth consecutive Division championships after decisive wins at the Russell divisional tournament. The girls defeated Russell and Elphinstone 2 0, while the boys beat Russell 2 0 and Elphinstone 2 1. They head to the Zone Tournament in Birtle on November 25 with a path toward the Provincial finals in Swan River December 2.

Speech Arts Festival at Binsearth Draws 430 Entries
A capacity crowd attended the Speech Arts final in Binsearth on November 17. The Festival logged 430 entries with few cancellations and honors awarded across multiple grades. Silver Creek Rural Council Meets in November
The Rural Municipality of Silver Creek held its November 14 meeting with machine accounts totaling 1272.62 and various paid charges including Cemetery Caretakers 40.00 Road Rents 36.00 and General Accounts 10060.61 Councilors Reeve and Secretary were authorized to attend the Union of Manitoba Municipalities Convention if possible. Dufferat and Luba were named as Parkland meeting delegates. Ditching discussions led to liability for damages and a predator control plan was set to involve the Game Department and local farmers. Next meeting is December 12 at 1 am.
