Rossburn RM Council Sets Winter Projects and Appointments
The Rural Municipality of Rossburn held its first regular meeting on November 8 1972 led by Reeve John Mitchell with councilors Drul Trakalo Peleshok Dnistransky. They adopted minutes and financial statements, expanded a PFA Act inspection area, appointed two Livestock Improvement Association Directors, planned winter projects, noted the Rossman Lake Committee annual report and approved payments. Aerial predator control permit was sought and ground fire extinguishing responsibility assigned. The council adjourned to December 12 1972.

Pelly Trail Graduation Exercises Held At Russell
Graduation exercises for Pelly Trail School Division No. 37 were held at Major Pratt School Auditorium on Saturday, November 4 with 600 plus in attendance. Rossburn Collegiate graduates, bursaries and awards were announced. Tim Lee delivered the valedictory. Don Grant of Macleods gave the keynote address, diplomas were awarded, and a graduation dance followed.

Rossburn Women's Institute votes to discontinue after 1915 onward service. November meeting notes 2:30 p m includes donations to Parkland U W annex and Senior Citizens Residence fund. A farewell social planned for December 5 with candy for Deer Lodge and exchange of gifts.

Rossburn Volleyball Teams Show Strong Form In November
The Rossburn RC volleyball squads posted wins in both senior and junior categories against Shoal Lake and Major Pratt Collegiate of Russell from Nov. 7. The senior girls dominated the Memorial Tournament in Swan River, claiming first place and a trophy, while the boys reached the semi finals. The team approaches provincial playoffs with one home game left on Nov. 21 against Roblin and travel for Major Pratt Tournament on Nov. 18 and Zone Play-offs on Nov. 25.
