MAST issues set of salary guidelines

More Jobs Fund money for area communities
Premier Howard Pawley reported 28 municipal capital works projects approved by the Jobs Fund received grants totalling 362,368. The announced projects total 1,060,040 with works in Killarney, Glenwood, Souris, Binscarth, Portage la Prairie and other southern Manitoba locales. The program aims to create local employment and boost the economy. this is the fourth municipal package under the program, with 133 projects funded to date.

Citizens plan cairn at former Hranko School site

Centennial Committee Sets Souvenir Prices and 1984 Events
The Centennial Committee met November 2 in the Town Hall basement with 18 members. Lawson & Jones sales rep provided souvenir prices. They plan monthly centennial events in 1984 and partner with Minor Hockey for the New Year's dance. Planned are a December 17 Christmas supper, sale of baking supplies, advertising in the Rossburn flyer, tea bake sale rescheduled to December 3, and the next meeting November 16 at 8 PM.
