Rossburn Hosts Largest Camporee At Rossman Lake
The Rossman Lake sixth Camporee drew 311 Scouts from 16 communities in Manitoba and Saskatchewan including Ochre River, Swan River, Shilo and Pilot Butte. Activities ranged from canoeing and archery to cooking and obstacle courses, with awards given for canoeing, archery, Cub events, cooking and more. Lieutenant Governor Bud Jobin attended as a guest and declared the event “super duper” before a closing supper.

Seven RC I students from grades nine to eleven competed in a Canada wide Mathematics contest. Rossburn Collegiate placed fifth among Westman area schools, noting RC I was the smallest school in the field. Top scorers were Sheldon Kokoradz Darcy Yaskiw and Candy Bergeson. The annual contest is sponsored by the University of Waterloo Ontario.
