Rural Council May Meeting
The Rural Municipality of Rossburn held its May 8 1973 meeting at 1 00 p m in Rossburn Council Chambers with Reeve John Mitchell and five councillors present. Motions approved included adopting April minutes and financials, delaying staff pension plans, settling taxes on Indian Reserve land with exceptions, forming a Veterinary Services District with a $250 limit, accepting Louis Gensiorek for part time patrol, selecting Texaco Canada Ltd for fuel supply, and road and jail project preparations. The resignation of Secretary Treasurer Nick Karmaz enuk was accepted with gratitude. Council adjourned to June 12 1973 at 1 00 p m.

Rossburn Minor Baseball Opens with Three Teams
Recreation News notes North-West Baseball League begins with three Rossburn teams. New uniforms are ordered and players will be outfitted soon. Support is urged at local and out of town games. Booster tickets cost $1 from players or the Recreation Office. A junior golfers tournament is set for Saturday in May.
