Rossburn Village May Meeting Passes Several Resolutions
The Rossburn Village Council met May 10 1973 in the council chambers presided by Mayor Louis Kurchaba with five councillors present. Resolutions include adopting April minutes, revising hall rates, limiting hall bookings to one event per day, approving Youth Centre regulations, considering summer rental of the Curling Rink, and establishing Senior Citizens drop in centres. The agenda covered sewer and water trench work, resignations, Lagoon expansion, staffing costs, and approval of building permits and payments totaling 5283.55. Council adjourned to June 14 1973.

4H Achievement Night Highlights At Collegiate
Rossburn 4H Achievement Night held May 14 at the Collegiate featured 22 red ribbons and 2 blue ribbons for the year. The program included a film strip, choral selections, camp report, mother’s remarks, demonstrations, duet, and a Dress Revue with Junior leaders’ comments. Certificates of Merit went to Connie Koleski and Kathy Michalchuk for five and seven years respectively. Laura Mitchell modeled the junior skirt and Connie Koleski the senior gown. A rally in Russell was noted for June 2nd.

Second Annual Rossman Lake Camporee Agreement
The Rossburn Rover Crew and the Venturer Company host the Fourth Annual Camporee at Rossman Lake Scout Campsite near Rossburn. Troops from Yorkton to Roblin, Man, plus Rossburn Cub Pack join May 18 to 21 with a full program of flag ceremonies, camping, canoeing, archery, knot tying, obstacle courses, campfires, and a closing on Monday. Crests and ribbons will be awarded to leaders and scouts.
