MPIC to hold bicycle safety program across Manitoba
MPIC will run the Elementary School Bicycle Safety Training Program for six to 13 year olds from May 8 to June 23 with 25 r trained instructors in Winnipeg Selkirk Brandon and Thompson areas. The program blends on bike practice with age appropriate classroom lessons and includes a new videotape featuring Winnipeg student Brandi Chemerika in English and French versions.

Rossburn CAC enters Phase II in Manitoba hazardous waste site search
Discussions with Waste Corp continue as Rossburn forms a Community Advisory Committee. Phase II begins with a plan to gather environmental data and community input to assess a potential site for the Manitoba Hazardous Waste Management facility. A summer student will organize CAC support and data collection. Applications close May 18, interviews May 19. The position starts in June.
