Knights of Columbus Blitz Knight to raise funds in Manitoba
The Knights of Columbus across Manitoba will host a Blitz Knight on June 7 from 6 to 9 PM to gather pledges for the Manitoba Marathon benefiting Father’s Day events and 30 local projects. More than 3000 members target aiding 125 institutionalized individuals to return to the community and support 12 new group homes.

Village taxes rise slightly for Rossburn in 1989
Rossburn council approves an 1989 budget with a 3.0 mill increase on commercial taxes and 3.5 mills on residential taxes, while keeping the general levy flat. Manitoba HydroBonds set at 11.25 percent interest
Finance Minister Clayton Manness announced Manitoba HydroBonds will carry an 11 percent rate with guaranteed 10 percent minimum for years two and three.
