The Pelly Trail School Division trustee board met in Angusville on Friday May 8 at 7 30 p m with all members present. They reviewed minutes and discussed teacher applications and positions. The Inglis Legion offered a hall as a classroom for ten months and the chairman and secretary treasurer signed the teachers union collective agreement. Trustees Set Salary Policy For Birdtail River Schools
About 120 trustees from 28 of 82 Birdtail River Division schools met at Ukranian Hall Shoal Lake to craft a common salary schedule for elementary staff. A motion by John Rankin and Ed Colbeck to adopt Schedule A within Manitoba Regulations 74-58 passed nearly unanimously, with a three member consulting committee named Wm. Boulton Wm. Wherrett and Ken Rapley to aid boards, transport at their expense. The meeting ended with the National Anthem.

Special Mother s Day Service at Rossburn United Church
A large Sunday congregation gathered at Rossburn United Church on May 109th at 2 p m for a Mother s Day program and service. Sunday school classes offered recitations and musical numbers. The Rossburn CGIT presented a baptismal font to the church, with Garry Gordon, son of Mr and Mrs Earle Taylor, as the first baptism using the font.

Passing of Mrs Victoria Kostiuk in Angusville area
Mrs Victoria Kostiuk died at her daughter Lena Parabees home in Angusville Farms near Binscarth on April 25 at age 85 after a short illness. She was born in Austria, settled in Canada, and farmed near Angusville until 1946. Surviving: sons Mike Nick Pete all of Angusville. daughters Mary Shewchuk Binscarth and Lena Parobec Angusville. 22 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. Funeral services conducted by Rev Lu hkin and Rev Dybka with burial at Ukr Greek Catholic Cemetery Angusville Farms.

Funeral Rites For Dan McIntosh In United Church
Funeral services were held in the United Church for Donald Dan McIntosh who died last Wednesday in his 79th year. Born September 8 1870 in Molesworth Ontario he moved from farm work to Bay City Michigan then Rossburn Manitoba where he opened the first blacksmith shop behind a poolroom. He settled in Revelstoke in 1896 guiding mail routes to Big Bend and French Creek and later worked in timber cruising guiding hunters and helping develop Mount Revelstoke area. He married Margaret Calder in 1912 and retired to town in 1947 remaining active in the United Church.

Anton Skorobohach 74 of 579 Wardlaw Avenue died Saturday at Victoria General Hospital. He came to Canada in 1907, taught in Manitoba and Saskatchewan until 1923, then ran stores at Zelena and Rossburn before retiring to Winnipeg in 1945. Survived by wife Nellie daughter and granddaughter. Funeral 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral with prayers Monday in Clark Leatherdale Funeral Home. Burial Elmwood Cemetery.
