Rossburn's 39th Annual Exhibition and Sports set for Friday July 23 features a new Rossburn Boys Calf Club with fifteen top Black Angus calves. Offers over 2400 for horse races 200 for men's baseball with four invited teams, plus a car race for 1900 to 1925 models with 50 first prize 25 second. Teachers and students urged to enter.
Village of Rossburn residents urged to boost civic pride by tidying boulevards lawns back lanes and streets ahead of the May 22 inspection. Sam Silewich named utility man to supervise cleanup at reasonable rates.
Irene Belbas nine, daughter of Mr and Mrs Nick Belbas of Birdtail, died May 6 after appendicitis. Born March 27 1939 in Rossburn, she attended Bryan School. Funeral May 8 at Glen Elmo cemetery with Rev W Fedak officiating. pallbearers Bill Belbas George Strileski Steve Prokopinny Matt Prokopinny.
A large audience filled Rossburn Town Hall on Mother's Day with children from Angusville Ruthenia Oakburn and Rossburn taking part in a three hour program of music readings and tributes. The oldest mother present was Mrs. Anne Dychakowsk i of Rossburn who received a bouquet.

Chrissie Brown daughter of William H Brown Rossburn and the late Mrs Brown married Frank Robinson son of Mr and Mrs Joe Robinson Scand inavia Manitoba. Bride attended by her sister Sarah Brown Brandon. Groom attended by John Williams Winnipeg. Reception at the home of Mr and Mrs J Williams. They plan to reside in Winnipeg.
