Waywayseecappo and Birdtail reserves graduate in development programs
Sixty students from five Indian reserves in western Manitoba complete Developmental Studies and Lifeskills programs held on their home reserves. Waywayseecappo graduates May 11 at 2 00 p.m. and Birdtail graduates May 10 at 1 00 p.m. ACC and SWIT funded by Canada Employment Centre's Canadian Jobs Strategy. program may run again 1990 91 if funds available.

Nesbitt Publishing moves to Monday newspaper delivery
Nesbitt Publishing Ltd will start Monday delivery with the May 15 edition to better serve advertisers and readers. Outlying areas will receive copies Tuesday mornings, while Birtle Rossburn and Shoal Lake gain earlier access. long weekends remain mailed Tuesday. New deadline is Thursday 4:00 p.m. for material.

Wayway hosts Native Festival of the Arts at school
Waywayseecappo Community School held its first Native Festival of the Arts last Thursday from 9 30 a m to 3 30 p m in the gym. Attending were Donald Ahmo School Crane River Keesee School Elphinstone plus Kamsack based St Phillips Indian Day School and Chief Gabriel Cote Education Complex. Non competitive event featured dances songs air bands choral speaking storytelling puppet show and more with displays of ceramics quilts moccasins beadwork and instruments in the Band Hall. Alden Cloud won 25 for best logo from 40 to 50 entries and the school plans to attend Chief Gabriel Cote Education Complex festival next year and may host one again.

Weather Outlook for Early May in Western Manitoba
Cool, cloudy conditions are forecast for the first part of the second week in May. Temperatures are expected to hover around 7 to 10 C Tuesday and Wednesday with north winds at 20 to 30 kph. Spotty showers are possible but no widespread rain is anticipated for western Manitoba.
