Books donated to Rossburn Elementary by local board member
Renske Kaastra of Rossburn presented 11 complete 22 book sets of The Living Soils to Don Burt, principal at Rossburn Elementary, for grades seven and eight. The donation funds come from the Pelly Trail School Division 1992 budget, with possible future sets for grades four and five. Farming for ce covers the Russell ag rep district with five board members.

Expansion of Rossburn landfill to cost about ten thousand
Rossburn plans expansion of the current landfill by purchasing six adjacent acres. Environmental tests, soil and groundwater assessments are next. If approved, development will start, with trees and fencing planned. The site will not operate for two to three years. One third of land and operating costs to be covered by the RM of Rossburn.

Resort to install septic tanks and showers at Rossman Lake
Seasonal campers at Rossman Lake may gain private septic tanks this summer as the Rossman Lake Resort plans a waste water disposal system. Board Chairman Orest Smycnnik says 20 sites along the lakeshore will be included. Manengco Engineering will prepare plans and REDI funding is being explored. A shower facility is also planned at the north campground.
