Rossburn Credit Union 25th Annual Meeting Held

The Rossburn Credit Union held its Twenty-Fifth Annual Meeting at the Rossburn Town Hall on March 2 1978. A banquet at 6 30 served by the Rossburn Hospital Auxiliary Ladies fed 150 attendees before the 7 30 main floor session presenting the 1977 Annual Report.

Manitoba Grain Movement Widens Grain Shortage

Stewart criticizes Manitoba grain delays on the Prairies as low quotas trap farmers with grain piled in elevators and on the ground. He urges Hon. Rossburn Lions Club to supply ramp materials

The Village of Rossburn council held its regular meeting on March 9 1978 at 7 00 p m in council chambers with Mayor Rick Plaister and councillors Drosdoski Kostecky Stefanuk Swintak present. The Lions Club agreed to supply material for a wheelchair ramp.

Solgirth Light Horse Club Sets Rodeo Plan and Events

At the March 13, 1978 meeting at the Nowasad home Solgirth Light Horse and Pony Club discussed serving at the Solsgirth Rodeo and decided to attend the Spring Supper in Birtle on March 20. Colleen Leggat reported a first prize speech. The club will attend Brandon Fair on March 31 and plans an annual Trail Ride April 29 30 with a $3 nonmember fee. Next meeting is April 3 at 7 30 at the Bergeson home.

Rural Municipality meeting on March 13 1978 actions

The Rural Municipality of Rossburn held a 10:00 A M meeting March 13 1978 with Reeve John Mitchell and four councillors. Motions included approving February 1978 financials and transferring 5235 19 in surplus to the Machinery Replacement Reserve due to new motor grader and fire truck purchases. Manitoba Telephone System plans three regional directories in November 1978.

The Red Cross regional gathering occurs April 10 at 2:00 p.m. in Strathclair Municipal Hall. An agenda includes a film, speakers, and honoring volunteers with Certificates, presented over roughly two hours.

Rural Municipality of Rossburn Special Meeting Notes

The Rural Municipality of Rosspurn held a special meeting on March 21 1978 with Reeve John Mitchell and councillors present. The council authorized fencing to separate areas near the Pool Room and Solo Store with owner permissions and scheduled work during Municipal Office window and door replacement.
