George G Elias of Haskett repeats as provincial and national barley champion for 1947. Manitoba prizes go to J F Bradley Portage la Prairie $300 Keith D Bradley Portage la W Earl Campbell Heaslip $100 and Elias $400. Winnipeg visits fill a week with guests including Bernice Carson at her home. Mr. and Mrs. T. Danylegko of Port Arthur Ont host at Mr. and Mrs. John Danylegko’s home. Mrs. G. Woods returns to Mrs. T. Mitchell’s home. Wishing speedier recovery to Mr. Dune McIntyre. Mr. Sam Fox returns to Rossburn after a visit in Detroit.

Mr and Mrs Gordon Taylor and Mrs J Sherritt and Dave left Wednesday for Winnipeg but damaged the engine when a connecting rod pierced the block, forcing them to continue by bus.
A small party Thursday afternoon celebrated Mrs. Stitt’s birthday with her old friends in good spirits. Mrs. Nixon contributed a note praising Mrs. Stitt’s cheerful presence and ability to blow out her birthday candles, and everyone enjoyed a happy gathering.

Richardson's home praised by George and Archie for new style. Miss Rosie Cameron and Dave Cameron noted for their contributions.
