Longtime Manitoba publisher H. J. Bowley retires after half a century

H. J. Bowley, who built weekly papers including Beamsville Express Moose Jaw Signal and established the Binseath Express Roblin Review and the Rossburn Review over fifty years, retires from the publishing business and is pictured with his bird dogs.

Crows have not returned yet as spring seems distant. Mrs Steve Baydock visited Angusville and Foxwarren over the Easter holidays. Bill Sawchuk of Dufrost Man visited his parents last Sunday. Sarah Ellen Hamilton King aged 77 died March 22 1918 at Winnipeg General Hospital. Born in Ontario she lived in Rossburn from age 13 later married John Preston. they had Russell and Howard. After his death she wed Richard King and had Delmar in B C. Survived by two brothers Jim and M R Hamilton and two sisters Mrs W A McIntosh and Mrs J Peden.
