The Rossburn Review issued weekly on Thursdays from office Victoria Ave Rossburn with subscriptions set at 200 dollars per year in Canada and 2 50 per year in the United States Memorial notices are priced at 50 cents for up to seven lines and a verse 100 dollars.
Prime Minister Mackenzie King urged Canadians to donate to a 1948 Red Cross appeal of 3 million dollars. The funds will finance National Blood Transfusion Service expansion, disaster relief, frontier hospital and nursing stations, crippled children work, swimming safety, first aid, home nursing, nutrition, and other health initiatives nationwide. The Red Cross is supported by all political parties and aims to aid health and welfare across Canada.

Mrs Sharman and Mrs lurley met March 2 with secretary treasurer Mrs Hantuke to plan a Red Cross drive. Supplies were sent to seven school districts around Angusville for canvassing. Silver Creek council was approached and tea was served to several town ladies including Mrs Vincent of Silverton.
Manitoba Pool Elevators expands with the Reliance Grain terminal at Port Arthur and twenty country elevators. The purchase raises total country elevators to 236 with capacity 8,600,000 bushels and terminal storage to 5,350,000 bushels, marking a major Western Canada deal.
Glushka Brothers have commenced sawing and planning him weekend at his home. The finance committee of the Red Cross requests a special meeting of the members to clear up the financial status. The meeting will be held in the club room on Tuesday March 23 at 8 P.M.
Mr Dave Maxwell returned home after a week at Wm Maxwell’s. Mr M Crookshanks and family visited Chas Browns. A surprise party honored Mr and Mrs A Andrew on their 37th wedding anniversary on March 14. A tea for Mrs Wm Pidlubny before her departure in Birdtail, hosted by Mrs John Coughlan, featured a gift and lunch.
Mrs Wilfred Chegwin thanks Rossburn residents nurses and hospital staff for kindness during illness. Jim and Glen Smith express gratitude to the doctor nurses and many friends who offered support during their stay.
