The Rossburn Sewing Sisters hosted a bingo and raffle at the Rossburn Town Hall basement on Friday night, raising about 72 dollars. Numerous prizes were awarded including a woolen blanket to Darryl Locke and a blackout cash prize of three dollars to Vic Matusko.
Local birth notice reports Douglas Blair Tweed, a son, born to Mr and Mrs Arnold Tweed on March 22 in Rossburn Hospital.
Oakburn group met March 7 to plan a Sale Handwork and Home Baking display on March 25 at 7 PM in Oakburn Parish Hall. A fish pond for children, tea, and a Bingo night on March 30 at 8 PM were also announced, with Marion Migas on 22 day RCAF leave visiting Oakburn.

Mrs Eudocia Malaniuk died in Shoal Lake Hospital on March 7 at 88. Born in Western Ukraine she came to Canada in 1905 to Rossburn district. Survived by four sons and four daughters, 27 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren. Funeral held March 11 at Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Rossburn. Pallbearers were grandchildren. Rae's Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Shoal Lake’s Hec McLean called on M D Hamilton. the Brookdale pair D McIntyre and W Stitt renewed acquaintance with multiple Hamiltons and Ham iltons.
A meeting of District 3 of the Manitoba Hog Producers is scheduled for Friday. The session aims to discuss district issues and upcoming producer initiatives.
The Rossburn Ice Carnival in the Rossburn arena on March 18 drew over 600 attendees. Winners included Glenda Lawless, Doreen Doubleday, Bobby Slon and Wayne Doubleday in preschool divisions, with multiple class winners across boys and girls categories. A highlight was Rossburn Tom Thumb Hockey Club receiving the North Central league trophy, marking the start of a new 12 and under league featuring Shoal Lake to Minnedosa.
The Rossburn Rural Municipality council met March 14 with Reeve M J Sotas and five councillors present. They approved February finances, a $300 grant to Rossburn village for rest rooms, snow removal authorizations, road system inclusions, and bridge plank procurement. The Reeve was authorized to hire a second snowplow operator and to adjourn to April 11, 1961.
The Rossburn Lions Club announces Lion-O starts this week with card sales at local stores. The event invites community members to join and support club activities.
Grandma Stitt celebrated her 94th birthday with over eighty guests at home. The event featured a shamrock cake with 94 candles, cards from Gunn's pupils, poetry from Ed Harris, and sentiments from Ferguson. Family and friends from Winnipeg and Michigan sent good wishes.
A successful Easter Ham Bingo was held March 20 in the Roman Catholic church basement.
