Rossburn RM Holds Long Meeting on March 10 Agenda
The Rural Municipality of Rossburn convened at 10:00 A.M. with Reeve John Mitchell and councillors. due to a lengthy agenda, reconvened on March 13 at 7:30 P.M. to complete decisions. Motions approved include Feb 11 minutes, February 1980 financials, cash disbursements, Rossman Lake Resort and Youth Camp 1979 statements, by laws to close public roads, and mandates involving Manitoba Hydro lights. The panel authorized documents for Discharge of Judgement No. 37884 and Satisfaction Piece No. 2377 and set a June 23 1980 tax sale date.

Park land leases reviewed in Western Canada parks
Parks Canada mailed rental notices effective April 1 1980 to about 2050 cottage commercial and residential leaseholders on Crown lands in Riding Mountain Prince Albert and other Western Canadian national parks. Leases run 42 years with rent reviews every ten years set at six percent of current land value. A four year phasing in option offers lower rents initial years with higher payments later while total ten year rent remains the same.

Park LGD Council Approves Bylaws and Annexation Plan
A regular LGD of Park meeting on March 10 chaired by Reeve Novalkowski saw attendance by seven councillors and guest planner Ron Stromberg. Reports covered Roblin Weed Control District, hospital and nursing home boards, and ambulance directors. Month end February statement approved. several bills and expense accounts paid. By-law No 457 received second and third readings to amend the Park Planning Scheme. By-law No 460 amended to define special reservations for Mines Minerals and Crown grants.
