Rossburn Village Council Sets 1975 Priorities
The Rossburn village council held a special meeting March 6 1975 to confirm decisions from the joint meeting with the R.M. of Rossburn and set 1975 priorities lagoon facilities new detention facilities and a hydro station near the village. The village will share office costs with the rural municipality and raise the treasurer and assistant treasurer by 20 percent retroactive to January 1 1975 with office hours 9 to 5 five days a week. A 50 50 P A system project with the Lions Club not to exceed 500 is approved and a new tender will be issued if caretakers resign by March 27 1975.

Officers Elected Legion Zone Meeting At Oakburn
A lively Zone 2A meeting was hosted by Oakburn Branch Canadian Legion No. 211 at the Oakburn Memorial Rinks club room on March 4. Walter Glenn was re elected Zone Commander Thomas Dean became Deputy Commander Arnold Girling re elected Secretary Dan Boulanger named Deputy Secretary, with reports read by Harvey Pollock and a Remembrance Devotion closing. A lunch by Oakburn Branch wives followed.

Rossburn Bantam Hockey Ends With Miniota Triumph
Rossburn, Miniota, Birtle and Russell fielded Bantam teams in an March 8 tournament. Miniota defeated Russell 5-1 in the final to claim the Tanasychuk Melnyk trophy, while Birtle beat Rossburn 14-5 in the consolation final. The 8 and under squad attended Angusville on March 2 and fell 20-0 to St Lazare and 16-1 to Grandview, then lost 6-0 to Russell and 1-0 to Birtle at Binscorth. The spring banquet is set for April 26 with senior club, and a financial statement will be released after the event.
