The Angusville Ladies Bonspiel held February 23 24 drew 13 rinks. Martha Spencer from Binscarth won the Chaytor Memorial Trophy in First Event with Elsie Dunsmore Russell and Betty Ann Mazur placing second and third. Margaret Robinson won Second Event with Verna Evans Silverton and Edna Klimack Silverton taking second and third. Joan McTavish Angusville captured Third Event with Frances Snytinsky Silverton and Jean Rowland Angusville finishing second and Nettie Salyn Angusville third. Barbara Wenitoway Foxwarren earned Hard Luck honors as host club thanks to Adam Chaytor and Ted Bartram.

The Rossburn Lions host a Sunday March 9 family outing at the Rossburn Arena starting 2 PM. Highlights include 2 PM figure skating by the Rossburn Figure Skating Club, 3 PM crowning of the Carnival Queen Norreen Swintak and Shelley Koleski, novelty events, races for under 12, women’s Grocery Scramble Log Sawing Contest and Nail Pounding. From 4 PM to 7 PM Linament League Hockey Grandview vs Rossburn, and at 7 PM Foxwarren vs Hamiota 16 under hockey. Family entertainment is the theme.
