The Manitoba Hazardous Waste Corpora tion invites residents to an open house on Wednesday March 8 at Rossburn Community Hall. Officials will discuss the central treatment facility plan, site screening, public consultation, and the option to opt out. The event runs 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.
The Rossburn Lions Club hosted a weekend carnival February 25 and 26 featuring an ice show titled Disney On Parade by the Rossburn Figure Skating Club. Melanie Jubeniuk received the Luanna Mackedenski Memorial Trophy for the 1988-89 season. Carnival Queen honors were tied between Leslie Lyman of the Rossburn Figure Skating Club and Sherri Brandon of Waywayseecappo Community School, with runner-up Sheryl Shatkosky of Rossburn Elementary School.
