Rossburn Juveniles Rally to Tournament Victory
Rossburn Juveniles led by Brian Kowal with 44 goals defeated Russell 6-4 in overtime to win the Russell Legion Hockey Tournament. They then crushed Langenburg 11-4 in the final and extended their unbeaten stretch to nine games after a 14-13 win over Foxwarren. Kowal scored five in the Foxwarren game. Garth Major added three in the Russell final.

The Rossburn WI met in the Annex on Tuesday March 5 at 3 p m. The film Partners in Progress was shown and thanks were given to George Silewich for operating the projector. Agnes Snider won the jackpot. Lunch was served by Mrs Wilson Stitt Mrs Wes Williamson and Mrs H McIntosh. The meeting closed with The Queen and a WI Thought about staying and speaking.
